Overview

 

 

As the counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, personal, and social development of all students.  I look forward to offering support to each and every student, their families, our staff and the community.   As our child's counselor, I will provide a variety of services which include small group counseling, individual counseling, classroom lessons and much more.  I will also connect students and families to outside resources based on their individual needs.  

Each semester, I will facilitate meetings with small groups of students to address specific areas of need.  Each month, students are taught classroom lessons to help the student make proper choices when dealing with personal wellness, anti-bullying, higher education options, developing good character, and much more.  Throughout the school year, I will collaborate with teachers and staff, consult with community organizations, and meet with parents to discuss concerns or issues.   During the fall semester, I will plan meetings and information sessions for 5th-grade students and parents as we plan for middle school and the transition.
